About the Role
The School of Digital and IT are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths teacher to join our team at the Printworks Campus. In this role, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons to a diverse range of learners, from GCSE resit students to those studying Access to HE. You'll play a key part in helping learners develop confidence and competence in maths, supporting their progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, working within a supportive and forward-thinking department that values innovation, collaboration, and continual improvement.
What You Will Do
Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
Use and promote restorative practice approaches
About You
Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (eg. Cert Ed, PGCE) or willing to work towards.
Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.
Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
Experience of setting appropriate SMART targets to ensure progression of learners.
Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance the learning journey and learner progression.
Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum
