About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Harrogate College's Apprenticeship Department, we are looking for an Internal Quality Assurance for carpentry and joinery  apprenticeships. This role is pivotal to ensuring the delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment of carpentry and joinery apprenticeships. Working with the Deputy Head of Apprenticeships and the departments Quality Lead the role will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of hospitality apprenticeship standards. 

What You Will Do

  • Support the Deputy Head of Apprenticeships to drive and enhance the learner experience for apprentices completing a carpentry and joinery apprenticeship. 
  • Advise the assessor on quality improvements to ensure consistent standards and compliance. 
  • Liaise with other campus' for standardisation and sharing of best practice. 
  • The role to work directly with the assessor 1 day per month

About You

  • Experience working in carpentry and joinery industry
  • Experience delivering and assessing carpentry and joinery apprenticeship standards
  • Experience working with EPAOs 
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring and supporting improvements 
  •  Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities and meeting deadlines
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to navigate complex issues with a can-do attitude are essential
